ABOUT BCAS

Founded in 1999 and stepping into our 23rd year of operation, BCAS or British College of Applied Studies’ initial mission was to provide computer education and English knowledge for high school leavers (post O/L & A/L students) with the essential skills they require to succeed in the contemporary employment market.

Along with Pearson, UK and TVEC, Sri Lanka we are currently in collaborative partnership with the UK’s Oxford Brookes University, Solent University and the University of East London to deliver their bachelors and masters in-country through the transnational education arrangement in place.

Besides several awards from Pearson UK, BCAS is proud to be awarded with Sri Lanka’s Most Successful Employer Award, Outstanding Contribution to the Cause of Education Award and Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards from several reputed International Awarding Bodies.

We have a student population of over 3500 who are distributed among the four campuses of BCAS Campus, with Colombo being the main campus; Kandy, Jaffna, and Kalmunai as the satellite campuses.

According to statistics there are over 60,000 BCAS alumni employed in West Asia as well as countries like Great Britain, Canada, Australia and the United States of America embodying BCAS as a successful pioneer in preparing individuals for the international employment market.
